All shook all up over nothing?

Is Marathon soon to be forgotten? ID Software hopes it will be, with the upcoming release of their new 3D game "Quake" expected to hit the streets this Christmas.
How does it add up? Will, ID boasts extremely complex graphics (Almost as good as Myst, ha!) built into an incredibly efficient and fast game engine. PC users are excited about the first actual 3D game created. Mac users, however, have been enjoying this luxury for quite some time, starting with Marathon last year. And with the release of Marathon 2 also expected to come out the end of this year, Quake will be having a run for it's money.

Play Quake under the watchful eyes of the Winged Serpent.

Quake will also be the first game to be release for both Mac & PC at the same time. There have been rumors that this will not turn out as planned, as ID has reported that the PC version is coming along more quickly than it's Macintosh cousin. Some doubt that neither versions will come out Christmas at all.
Although there has not been a leak of anything besides screenshots, Quake is said to make all other 3D-based games "look like pong."

A game for that's good for all your 2000 parts.
