Here's my first attempt at creating an editor for the Marathon shapes file. Most of what you need to know is in the About box, but here is a bit more.
1)Make a copy of your 'Shapes' file first and move the original to a safe location. In order for Marathon to use your edited shapes, the file must be named 'Shapes' and reside in the same folder as the Marathon application.
2) This version can copy any image to the clipboard, but you can only paste pictures into resources which contain textures.
3) Textures in Marathon are 128 by 128 pixels. If you try to paste a picture that isn't that size, it will be scaled. It will also have it's colors remapped to the color table defined by that resource.
4)This software hasn't been rigorously tested, and there are probably a few bugs remaining. Please email me with any problems you encounter. In particular, it was developed on a Power Mac, and the 680x0 code has only been tested briefly via the 680x0 emulator.
Have fun,
